Thermal Monocular Mounts, Dovetail Adapters & Bridge Parts

Build a helmet-mounted, bridged or front-mounted thermal setup with thermal monocular mounts, dovetail adapters, mini-rail arms, quick-detach bridge parts and flip-to-side thermal mounting systems. This collection supports compatible devices such as RH25 / PFalcon640, Jerry-YM2.0, NOX18, MH25, StingIR, STRIDE ST6, FLIR Breach-style mini-rail devices and selected night vision monoculars.

Thermal mounts must be selected according to the full mounting chain: thermal device, device-side interface, adapter, bridge or J-arm, helmet mount, shroud and host optic where applicable. A dovetail, mini-rail or QD adapter should never be assumed compatible without checking the exact device generation and mounting interface.

Choose the Right Thermal Mount

Thermal Dovetail Adapters

Dovetail adapters allow compatible thermal monoculars to connect to helmet-mounted bridges, dovetail J-arms or quick-detach bridge systems. Products such as the Falconclaw QDA Mount for RH25 / PFalcon640, Falconclaw QDA Mount for Jerry-YM2.0 and Noisefighters Fore-Aft Adjustable Thermal Dovetail are designed around specific thermal devices and bridge systems.

Before choosing a dovetail adapter, confirm whether the device already has a dovetail shoe, Picatinny adapter, MUM rail, mini-rail or manufacturer-specific mounting plate installed.

Thermal J-Arms

A thermal J-arm connects a single compatible thermal monocular to a dovetail NVG helmet mount. The Noisefighters DMAX14 is designed for dovetail-equipped thermal monoculars such as RH25-style devices, while the Noisefighters MRX-PRO supports mini-rail or MUM-rail monoculars such as FLIR Breach, MH25, OPSIN, MUM-14 and similar devices.

Confirm dovetail versus mini-rail before ordering. A mini-rail thermal device will not connect directly to a dovetail-only arm unless a compatible conversion interface is used.

Thermal Bridge Adapters

Thermal bridge adapters allow compatible thermal monoculars to be paired with night vision monoculars or another thermal device on a night vision and thermal bridge. The Noisefighters Polymer QD Adapter for Panobridge MK3 is designed to connect selected thermal monoculars to Panobridge systems and includes an IPD slider for alignment.

Hybrid night vision and thermal setups require careful alignment. Device height, eyepiece position, display orientation, interpupillary distance, fore-aft adjustment and helmet balance should all be checked before use.

Quick-Detach and Flip-to-Side Thermal Mounts

The Falconclaw QDF Flip-to-Side Mount allows compatible night vision or thermal optics to be mounted in front of a daytime optic when paired with the correct Falconclaw QDA adapter. The Falconclaw QDB Quick-Detach Bridge supports bridged night vision and thermal configurations with compatible QDA adapters.

These systems are modular. Confirm whether the bridge, flip mount, QDA adapter and device-side shoe are included together or sold separately.

Thermal Mount Compatibility Checklist

Before selecting a thermal mount or adapter, confirm:

  • The exact thermal device model and generation
  • Dovetail, mini-rail, MUM-rail, Picatinny or device-specific interface
  • Bridge, J-arm or flip-to-side mount compatibility
  • Left-side or right-side adapter orientation
  • Fore-aft and interpupillary adjustment requirements
  • Eyepiece alignment with a night vision monocular
  • Helmet-mount compatibility, including G24-style dovetail mounts
  • Included screws, washers, bits, plates and adapters
  • Device weight, mount weight and helmet balance
  • Tether or secondary-retention attachment points

Dovetail, Mini-Rail and MUM-Rail Explained

Dovetail interfaces are common on modern helmet-mounted night vision and thermal setups. Mini-rail and MUM-rail interfaces are used on selected compact monoculars and require matching arms or adapters. Device-side rails, bridge-side dovetails and helmet-mount dovetails are not interchangeable unless the product is specifically designed to connect those interfaces.

Thermal Mounts Versus Bridge Systems

This collection should focus on thermal mounting interfaces, thermal J-arms, QD adapters and device-specific mounting plates. Complete bridge systems such as Falconclaw QDB should primarily live in Bridges & Adapters, while remaining cross-linked here because they are part of complete thermal mounting setups.

Complete Your Helmet-Mounted Thermal Setup

Pair thermal mounts with compatible helmet-mounted thermal monoculars, thermal monoculars, thermal clip-ons, NVG mounting components, J-arms, helmet shrouds and battery packs or counterweights.
