Hybrid protectors combine a thermal-transmissive Germanium element with a Titanium impact layer. This configuration is intended for users who want both sacrificial lens protection and additional physical shielding.
Hybrid protection should still be inspected after any impact. Germanium is brittle compared with many structural materials, so any cracked, marked or compromised sacrificial element should be replaced before continued use.
The PFalcon640 / RH25 Shield is designed to protect the objective lens of compatible RH25 and PFalcon640 thermal imagers. It uses a friction-lock design and offers Titanium, Germanium and Titanium + Germanium variants.
The Jerry C-PRO Shield and C5 / CE5 Shield are designed for compatible COTI clip-on thermal imagers. These products should be selected according to the exact Jerry-C generation, because Jerry-C5, CE5 and Jerry C-PRO housings and objective designs are not interchangeable by default.
The Jerry-YM2.0 Shield is designed for the Jerry-YM thermal imager and should be paired with the correct Jerry-YM2.0 device generation. Confirm whether the shield maintains access to focus adjustment and whether the selected option includes Germanium, Titanium or both.
The Jerry-FB Shield protects both the thermal imager objective and the night vision lenses on compatible Jerry-FB systems. This product includes sacrificial lenses for the night vision objectives and a Germanium lens for the thermal channel.
The Mini-Raider Kill Flash is designed to reduce glare and reflection from Germanium lenses while adding light protective coverage. It should be positioned as a reflection-reduction and lens-protection accessory, not as a direct replacement for a full Germanium sacrificial lens system.
