The INVG Hyper Night Vision Goggle Mount is a precision-engineered, highly adjustable, and modular platform designed to provide exceptional stability for attaching nearly all types of night vision goggles commonly used by the Department of Defense and law enforcement agencies. Building on the features of the original INVG mount, the INVG Hyper introduces a breakaway mode to enhance user safety and reduce the risk of equipment damage. It also incorporates a modular interface system for greater flexibility.

The mount features a single tri-lobe arm that pivots on its own axis, offering superior strength compared to traditional designs. This single-arm design prevents binding under stress and rugged field conditions. It also allows a monocular to pivot between eyes seamlessly. One standout feature is the ability to stow goggles in a low-profile position. When flipped up, the goggle can rotate closer to the helmet, minimizing protrusions that might snag on obstacles or cause accidental damage. The mount’s force-to-overcome mechanism enables quick and effortless flipping of the goggles between stowed and operational positions.

The INVG Hyper also features a field-changeable interface system, enabling users to switch between standard bayonet horn and dovetail interfaces. The mount comes with the dovetail interface by default, which is compatible with devices such as the AN/PVS-15, AN/PVS-18, AN/PVS-31, BNVD-G, and TNV/Sentinel. The horn interface (sold separately) works with models like the AN/PVS-7B, AN/PVS-7D, and AN/PVS-14. Interfaces can be swapped quickly without tools by manipulating a spring-loaded pin and sliding them on or off the adjustment rail. Height adjustments are straightforward, with a locking lever that allows users to slide the mount along the vertical rail and secure it at the desired position, a significant improvement over the slower worm dial system of earlier models. The lever design is also glove-friendly.

What truly sets the INVG Hyper apart is its breakaway feature. A shuttle switch allows users to toggle between locked and breakaway modes. In locked mode, the mount stays securely attached to the helmet unless manually released. In breakaway mode, the mount detaches from the helmet under a specific amount of force, which can be adjusted using a top-mounted set screw. This feature is particularly useful in scenarios where goggles might snag on gear or surfaces, reducing the risk of neck injury or equipment damage. The mount detaches safely while keeping the goggles secure if tethered to the helmet.

Break away feature

The Lo-Sto mount allows users to set it in either breakaway or locked mode, depending on operational needs, with adjustable tension release. When the breakaway feature is toggled, the mount will detach from the helmet shroud upon impact with objects such as trees or door frames. Offering protection for the user's neck.
